Visa is highlighting the continued growth of Visa Destinations, its global travel inspiration platform that helps travelers discover unique experiences across some of the world’s most vibrant destinations, including Dubai, London, Paris, Singapore, Tokyo, New York and Sydney.
The announcement comes as UAE travelers increasingly prioritize experiences over traditional sightseeing and use digital tools to shape their travel decisions. According to Visa’s latest Global Travel Intentions Study, 43% of UAE travelers say experiences are a key motivation for travel, while spending time with family and friends remains the leading travel driver at 40%. At the same time, 51% of travelers use AI tools to help find travel ideas, highlighting how technology is increasingly influencing travel inspiration, planning and decision-making.
Designed to inspire and inform every stage of the travel journey, Visa Destinations brings together curated travel recommendations, local insights and destination guides that reflect the evolving ways people explore the world. From cultural landmarks and culinary discoveries to entertainment, shopping and wellness experiences, the platform showcases destinations that align with today’s traveler priorities.
Among the destinations featured on Visa Destinations, Dubai continues to stand out for its ability to combine world-class hospitality, connectivity, shopping, entertainment and culture within a single destination. Visa’s inbound travel research shows that international visitors stay an average of 9.4 nights in the UAE, reflecting the breadth of experiences available across the country. As travelers increasingly seek seamless experiences, destinations that combine digital convenience, trusted payments and diverse attractions are well positioned to capture visitor spend.
Aleksander Kuzmichev, Head of Cross-Border Solutions, Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa (CEMEA), Visa, said: “Travel behavior continues to evolve, with consumers seeking more personalized, digitally enabled ways to discover and experience destinations. Through Visa Destinations, we accompany travelers throughout their journey, helping them uncover the experiences that make a destination memorable while connecting them to seamless and secure payment experiences. At the same time, the platform creates meaningful opportunities for our issuer, merchant and destination partners to engage travelers and participate in the economic growth that travel helps generate.”
Visa Destinations forms part of Visa’s broader commitment to supporting the travel ecosystem through data-driven insights, seamless payment experiences and initiatives that help connect travelers with destinations worldwide.
