The SME Rise Collective Tells SMEs ‘Now Is Your Time’

The SME Rise Collective, a new initiative aimed to support in the stimulation of the UAE economy by focusing on SMEs, is urging individuals and companies to get involved in supporting the new program, at what they call ‘an essential time’ for SMEs.

Since the relaxation of the lockdown rules across the UAE, many SMEs have opened their doors, adhering to the 30% capacity and staffing regulations. However, without the proper promotion and advertising, many of these businesses could be forced to close their doors before the end of the month.

For many SMEs, Marketing and PR is not a service they can afford at this time, however investing in such areas could also prove to be lucrative, as this is the perfect time for SMEs to set themselves apart from the competition and create opportunities to attract customers as people begin to venture out of their homes for supplies that cannot so easily be delivered to their door.

Natasha Hatherall, founder of TishTash and The SME Rise Collective says “This Pandemic will see a shift in consumer habits, and this is something all businesses need to be aware of and be reactive to. Now is the time to let your customers know who you are, what your USPs are and why they should shop with you. However, if you do not have an active marketing plan to combat these times, it may be difficult to generate the sales you need.  Now really is the time to be more aggressive in your marketing and PR plans – not less!”

The SME Rise Collective is urging everyone to support their favourite SMEs by sponsoring a marketing package, to enable them to speak to their right audience at this unprecedented time. Sponsoring a marketing package  is incredibly easy with The SME Rise Collective. Whether you are an individual or a corporation, the SME Rise Collective platform allows you to support for as little as 100 AED.

The SME Rise Collective has been overwhelmed with such incredible support from the UAE communitysince announcing the first two recipients of the marketing and PR packages two weeks ago, with more than 50 sponsors on board already. Of these many are individuals and other SMEs pledging their support for the initiative including, TwinsPlus Arabia, Teresa Karpinska, CG barbershop, Philippa Kevan, Magnes, Namratha Rose, Liberty Steams, Gabrielle Khaled, Scent Creatives,Morris Fashion Consultancy and BSA Ahmad Bin Hezeem& Associates LLP.

The Collective is now in a position toannounce three more existing SMEsthat will receive marketing support, effective immediately.

  • Holly Holistic, a family owned business offering authentic, sustainable products that support artisans, their families, will be supported by Sociate.
  • CG Barbershop a family owned barbers in Media City will be supported by TishTash PR
  • Retold a pre-loved fashion store will be provided with PR support from Matrix PR.

All recipients will work with The SME Rise Collective for a three-month period to ensure a strong marketing activation plan, with lasting results.

Chloe Ragg, Co-Founder and CEO of Fox and Hound Digital Communications and The SME Rise Collectivesays, “This Pandemic is undoubtedly changing how and when people buy, and we are committed to supporting SMEs navigate this new time through our packages. We must all work together to keep our economy stimulated and we believe that the survival of SMEs is the  key to this.”
