Over 1,000 Specialists And Doctors Take Part In The Annual Radiology Meeting In UAE

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Minister of Finance and President of the Dubai Health Authority, the 5thedition of the Annual Radiology Meeting in UAE- ARM, was concluded virtually earlier this month. This unique event aims to bridge the gap between Radiologists and Radiographers and bring them together to discuss the latest technology innovations and advances taking place in the field of diagnostic imaging.

The 5thedition of the Annual Radiology Meeting in UAE- ARM, which was held virtually in light of the current pandemic, witnessed the participation of over 1,000 radiographers and radiologists from around the world. The event focused on the most recent advances in diagnostic imaging, key trends, and practices in the industry, and how new breakthrough technologies are affecting the future of radiology practice. The event’s rich scientific program included 56 lectures and sessions, which were delivered by 45 of the world’s most prominent speakers and field specialists. The sessions covered various key topics such as Breast Imaging, Neuroradiology, Pediatric Imaging, Artificial Intelligence, Body Imaging, Chest Imaging, Abdominal Imaging, Radiography, and Covid-19.

In addition, attendees explored the latest technologies and innovations developed and introduced by 14 distinguished participating brands. The virtual event also encouraged networking through a specialized virtual B2B platform that was developed by the organizing committee to ensure the continuity of business and networking opportunities.

Commenting on this year’s edition of the Annual Radiology Meeting in UAE, Dr. Usama Al Bastaki- Conference Chairman said: “The field of diagnostic imaging is an essential field in Medicine, and plays a vital role in diagnosing illnesses and mapping out treatment plans. From her side, Samar El-Farra, Senior Fellowship Of Advance HE, Chairperson of the Scientific Board of the Radiographers Society of the Emirates (RASE), Registered Member in Camrto Ontario Canada,and Manager of Higher Colleges of Technology Assessment Unit in Dubai, UAE, said: “For years, the Annual Radiology Meeting has been an anticipated event that provides a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experiences, and networking with field professionals. This year, it was delightful to see that the human element was not missing due to the event’s virtual nature.
