Local Disinfectant Developed To Fight COVID-19
The Sharjah-based Hilali Light Industries Co. has recently revealed its success in developing a new disinfectant with an advanced formula that helps combat the new coronavirus (COVID-19) by 99.9%
BRAX is the name of the new product which is approved by Dubai Municipality after its conformity to the requirements, standards, and conditions of quality and efficiency approved in the UAE, where Dubai labs have proven that BRAX can kill viruses and germs very efficiently, and it is suitable for use in sterilizing and disinfecting surfaces, hospitals, offices, buildings, and streets.
BRAX is a powerful disinfectant and detergent as it contains quaternary ammonium derivatives that help dismantle the cell wall of germs and viruses, including COVID-19 and also the highly effective oxychlorine compounds which are able to kill a wide spectrum of bacteria and viruses.
The newly developed product underlines the efficiency and capability of local products to compete with the best foreign products, especially in the sterilization and cleaning field.
Enhancing the competitiveness of Sharjah Chamber members
Given the importance of the industrial sector as one of the key pillars of growth in Sharjah, the Sharjah Exports Development Center (SEDC) of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce & Industry is keen to undertake its role as a voice and advocate for the private sector, especially the industrial sector, by enhancing the competitiveness and gains of its members and providing the necessary growth incentives, as well as providing the necessary support to industrial companies by pushing them towards knowledge-based innovation to serve the requirements of the Emirati market.
Likewise, the success of companies in supplying the domestic market with innovative products and exporting them to external markets reflects on the reputation of the industrial sector in the UAE in general and Sharjah in particular. This also strengthens the capability of this sector to attract quality industrial investments, where the meetings and external missions organized by the SEDC constitute an important opportunity to share experiences between the local companies operating in the emirate and long-standing foreign companies.
