Home-Grown Organisations Come Together This Ramadan To Give Back To UAE Communities

This Ramadan, several home-grown and leading local organizations have come together to support UAE communities during the holy month. Dubai-born CAFU, has teamed up with du, Ecyclex, National Food Products Company (NFPC), and Emirates Red Crescent to support blue collar workers and low-income families by providing them with iftar meals and calling cards this year.

Starting from April 13th until the last day of Ramadan, CAFU will be providing their pilots and crew, RTA taxi drivers and security guards within communities they deliver fuel to, with recyclable Iftar boxes supplied by Ecyclex -a UAE certified recycler, containing food supplied by NFPC, which represents popular brands such as Lacnor, Oasis and Royal Bakers, along with free calling cards provided by du, for them to connect with their families despite the challenges of the year and being separated from their loved ones.

The on-demand fuel delivery and car service that puts its customers and communities at the heart of its endeavours, has also partnered with Emirates Red Crescent to give its customers the chance to add AED 10 to their fuel delivery order which will help provide one iftar meal delivered to low-income individuals and families so they can safely break their fast in line with Emirates Red Crescent’s social distancing guidelines, and in support of their aim to deliver 6,000 iftar meals a day.

“This past year has been one that has tested us all, and kept us physically distant, often from our friends and family, but it has also brought us closer together by strengthening our support and appreciation for one another. And the same goes for organisations, particularly home-grown businesses with a passion for giving back to our communities”, said Nabra Al Busaidi, Sustainability and Community Manager at CAFU.

“On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan this year, I extend my gratitude to our partners who have stepped up to demonstrate the power of partnerships between local brands in creating value and impact among our communities, and in creating a sense of togetherness”, Nabra added.

“We serve our planet and communities through the work we do with passion and commitment. It is heartening to work with other locally born or established organizations that share this same passion and commitment, and we are delighted to contribute towards creating a comfortable and connected Ramadan for those that really are the unsung heroes of our community” said Mohammad Abdulmoti, Managing Partner of Ecyclex.

Commenting on the collaboration with CAFU this Ramadan, Mohamed Ahmed Al Yammahiof Emirates Red Crescent said, “It is our responsibility to use our resources to serve our people and communities. During the holy month of Ramadan particularly, it is an honour to be able to spread love and support by also rallying other members of our communities who are blessed with means to do so.”

CAFU has provided its customers with the opportunity to contribute by selecting the option to donate AED 10 with every order on fuel delivery via the CAFU app.
