Filipino Participates In Mahzooz Using His Last AED 35, Wins Big

Dubai resident and Filipino expat Dennis was one of seven lucky participants to match five out of six numbers and share the AED 1 million second prize in the 19^th weekly live Mahzooz draw. The 34-year-old accountant won AED 142,857 and his lucky break came straight out of a Hollywood script.

“That 35 dirhams was the last money I had on my credit card,” recalled Dennis. “I had originally meant to participate in the March 27^th draw, but I submitted my entry just a few minutes late and so it rolled over to April 3^rd. Thankfully, luck was on my side last Saturday because I didn’t have the money left to participate again. This was my last shot.”

The past few months have been filled with both joy and hardship for Dennis and winning with Mahzooz could not have come at a better time.

“When I logged into my account and saw my Winning Balance, I had tears in my eyes. I was shocked and happy, but it took a while for the win to sink in,” said Dennis. “I just got married last year and we have a new-born daughter, but in January I left my job and haven’t found a new one yet. Not having a job right now is difficult and this money is the gift my family needed.”

A consummate family man, Dennis has his next steps all planned out.

“We’re going to use this money to fully pay off our house back in the Philippines,” said Dennis. “What makes me even happier is now I can go home for a while and spend time with my baby. She is my precious lucky charm.”

For Dennis, participating in Mahzooz proved to be truly life-changing in ways he’ll cherish forever.

“This is such a big help for my family and I’ll always be able to look at my house and say ‘Mahzooz gave me this house’. Thank you Mahzooz, you are truly changing lives and making dreams come true,” he concluded.

Additionally, the 19^thMahzooz draw featured six other big 5/6 winners, all of whom took home their share of the AED 1 million second prize – AED 142,857 each. The winners included:Muhammad, 29, from Pakistan; Shehar, 39, from India; Cris, 32, from Philippines; James, 30, from Ireland, and two other winners.

For those who missed out on last week’s live draw, entrants can participate inMahzooz by registering via www.mahzooz.ae and purchasing Al Emarat bottles of water.Each bottle of water purchased (for AED 35) provides eligibility for one line in the draw and the donation is channelled through Mahzooz’scommunity partners to hydrate those in need.
