Dubai Silicon Oasis Commemorates 48th UAE National Day And Martyr’s Day

Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority (DSOA), today marked the 48 th UAE National Day and Martyr’s Day with a host of cultural activities that reflected the spirit of the union.

On this occasion, the streets within DSO as well as the Authority’s headquarters were decorated in the colors of the UAE flag. The commemorative event that celebrated the UAE’s heritage and paid tribute to the sacrifices of the country martyrs was held in the presence of Dr Mohammed Al Zarooni, Vice Chairman & CEO of DSOA and drew the participation of DSOA’s senior leadership team and 700 of DSO’s staff, business partners and community members.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Mohammed Al Zarooni said: “On this auspicious occasion we congratulate the UAE President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Their Highnesses the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates, as well as the citizens and residents of this great country . “

He added: “The 48 th UAE National Day coincides with the Year of Tolerance in the UAE, that celebrates the core values ​​of tolerance and humanity. Since the establishment of the union in 1971, and through the guidance and directives of our leadership, the country has achieved stewardship across diverse indicators spanning development, creativity, innovation, and the future. “

Dr Al Zarooni praised the martyrs’ sacrifices that reflected their loyalty to the sovereignty of the UAE and pointed out that their country and families are proud of their efforts in laying down their lives to safeguard their countrymen.

The event that included traditional art and craft showcases, UAE folkloric performances, “henna” painting, and a falcon show, registered a high turnout of employees, residents and visitors. Attendees also had the opportunity to sample authentic Emirati delicacies.
