Careem Replaces Its Rewards Programme To Offer More Value To Customers

Careem’s Rewards programme will be phased out from 17 December, but Customers can lock in much greater value through the App’s paid new subscription programme, Careem Plus.

Careem’s Rewards programme was launched in February 2019 to allow customers to earn points on eligible rides and orders and use these points to donate funds to philanthropic causes or redeem them against Careem’s own services or partner services. While Customers will no longer be able to earn Rewards points from 17 December 2021, they can still redeem their existing points up until June 2022.  Careem is working on a new feature that will create opportunities for donations and donation matching to allow Customers to continue delivering impact within their communities.

Careem Plus, a paid subscription programme that was launched in the UAE this year to offer Customers significant value for just AED 19 per month (reduced from AED 39 per month), gives subscribers a chance to secure average monthly savings of AED 85, or 4.5 times the subscription fee. Careem Plus offers:

• 10% credit back on all Careem and HALA rides for up to 10 rides per month.
• Free delivery on all Careem Food and Grocery orders, with a reduced minimum order value of AED 30 and over 5,000 options restaurants and shops to choose from.
• Unlimited access to Careem Bike.
• Priority care support.
