Cardiovascular Disease Awareness Campaign Launched To Decrease The Public Burden In The UAE
Bayer Middle East announced today the continuation of its cardiovascular disease awareness campaign that began in 2019.
In 2020, the company is focused on extending its awareness drive in the United Arab Emirates as part of its continued efforts to raise public awareness around cardiovascular diseases, the importance of early heart health check-ups as well as highlighting the risk factors that can increase the age of individuals’ hearts.
This year’s initiative will include a range of educational content across a number of public channels to reach the general public as well as healthcare professionals.

We are working in collaboration with leading scientific, and industry partners to improve to find innovative approaches for patients suffering from cardiovascular diseases in the region.”
Cardiovascular diseases are disorders of the heart and blood vessels and are the leading cause of death globally, resulting in approximately 17.9 million deaths per year. 1 out of 20 in UAE residents has coronary heart diseases, attributed to risk factors like smoking, obesity, high blood pressure, high cholesterol & high blood glucose.
