Maraska Maraschino, the renowned Croatian liqueur, has made a grand entry into the UAE in March this year, bringing its unique flavours to the dynamic cocktail scenes of Dubai. This expansion marks a significant milestone for Maraska, a brand rooted in centuries-old tradition, now set to captivate the sophisticated palates of the UAE.

Maraska Maraschino’s UAE debut

Maraska Maraschino, an essential ingredient in world-famous cocktails, is gaining popularity in modern interpretations of classic recipes. Slaven Macura, a prominent Dubai bartender of Croatian descent, remarked, “I think that Maraska’s Maraschino fits perfectly into the Dubai scene, which is extremely dynamic and where new boundaries are being set in the world of mixology. This opens up opportunities for us to position Maraschino as the new ‘must-have’ ingredient for cocktails.”

The official launch with MMI this March at Soul Kitchen Dubai saw a successful Masterclass and Maraschino Contest, attended by key F&B professionals. Today, leading restaurants and bars in Dubai proudly serve this exquisite liqueur, known for its subtle aromatic flavours.

Prepared using a proprietary ancient recipe, Maraska Maraschino is distilled from indigenous Marasca cherries, grown exclusively in the Mediterranean area around Zadar, Croatia. This unique process results in a distinctive sweet taste and aroma that have been well-received by Dubai’s top hotspots such as La Mezcaleria JBR, Sienna Clubhouse, Emaar Hotels, One Za’abeel Hotel, St Regis The Palm, and The Meydan Hotel.

Upcoming Launch in Abu Dhabi

In collaboration with Spinneys, Maraska Maraschino is set to make its debut in Abu Dhabi. Join us at Al Hanah Bar, Shangri-La Abu Dhabi, on 25 June for an exclusive launch event featuring a Masterclass and Maraska Maraschino Contest. Bartenders from Shangri-La, Hakkasan, and Penelope’s Bar will showcase their own twist on the “Maraschino Kiss” – Spritz cocktail. Guests will have the opportunity to have a taste of these delightful creations with a complimentary drink, and choose any cocktail at a special price. The event will commence at 8 PM.

Celebrating the Cherry Harvest in Dubai

Continuing the celebrations, Maraska Marachino will host a “Cherry Harvest” event in Dubai on the 1 July at Agora Cocktail Bar & Social Club In The Edition hotel. This special event will honour the cherry harvest from Maraska’s plantation, the largest Marasca cherry plantation in the world. Bartenders from Agora, F.R.N.D.S, and Salmon Guru will create unique cocktails using Maraska Maraschino and cherries. Guests can enjoy a complimentary cocktail, and opt for the cocktail of their choice at a special price. The festivities will start at 8 PM.
