Rahaf Raef Kobeissi – An Entrepreneur With A Purpose
Rahaf’s story is so compelling that it must be shared with a larger audience. I had the opportunity to connect with her on Zoom and was overwhelmed to hear how she is every day serving and supporting business leaders who are suffering from mental tensions, anxiety, and loss of self-esteem.
It is a fact that many people put up a façade to appear to be thriving in front of society. But sometimes the truth is far from the perceived reality. In her life, Rahaf had to undergo a series of personal tragedies for the reason that they did not shout out for help. She chose to get help and rebound. Her story is living proof that being resilient and strong can help ride any storm.
Her message to people who are suffering from any mental health struggle is to first accept the fact that, ‘It is OK not to be OK.’ By acknowledging an area of concern, one can start to look for help.
Rahaf has used her life’s learnings to turn a solopreneur, and in the last 2 years in Dubai, she has coached more than 50 leaders in a one-on-one structured program on mindset and mental health issues. Today she is also helping business leaders manage their stress, improve self-esteem & gain clarity on themselves through structured coaching experiences.
Rahaf has a Psychology and Mental Health Diploma, and she has attended a few training programs with the world-famous coach Rich Litvin, who runs a leadership consultancy in Los Angeles and London for world-class coaches. She also has her own coach and healer who both help her maintain her emotional and energetical balance on a personal and professional level, and that is one key to how she is capable and credible of helping others. She truly walks the talk!
Rahaf’s purpose in life is to work with male leaders to help them create a more peaceful & balanced lifestyle, improve their health and well-being and overcome anxiety and stress. She is also the host of The ‘Don’t Be A Man About It’ podcast that focuses on raising awareness on men’s mental health and sending a message to every man listening that he is not alone.
She recently has received a certificate of recognition for participating in ‘Emerald – KCC Case Writing Competition 2020’ and winning the 3rd prize for the case ‘Rays Your Mental Health: For a transformed mindset – A Case Study of Rahaf Raef Kobeissi’.
Rahaf mentioned that she wouldn’t have thought to showcase her story and past experiences like this if it wasn’t for Dr. Mohammad Rishad Faridi who encouraged her to accept to share her story. She is grateful for Dr. Mohammad’s efforts and the energy he put to make sure the case study demonstrated not only Rahaf’s life tragedies but also the trophies.
When I asked Rahaf about her future plans, her answer was “A few years from now, I want to start the “Rays Your Mental Health Academy” that will be the #1 go-to place for mental health education, awareness and actionable support, and hosting charity events that will help fund kids’ education and people’s therapy for those who cannot afford it.”
With such a noble mission, she is bound to succeed.
