“Emirates Loto Helped Me To Help Others” Says Winner
40-year-old Abu Dhabi resident and executive director MuhandNwafRezk from Syria was lucky enough to claim AED 142,857 when he and six others shared AED 1,000,000in an Emirates Loto draw on 30 May 2020. Since then he has helped his relatives and other families in his home country, and invested in his car dealership.
“Winning a share of the AED 1 million, meant that I had a helping hand during particularly difficult times. Although there are others who have won more than me, this sum from Emirates Loto helped me to help others, and I took great pleasure in sending some of the winnings home to my family,” said Muhand.
Muhand is working on a project in Syria while he stays in the UAE and recently a fair amount to support a family in need in his native country.
“I have no plans just yet to leave the UAE. This place has been an amazing location in which to live and earn away from home, so I can’t imagine giving up my residency any time soon. My work, like many others, has been affected by the pandemic, but I thank my lucky stars every day for my good fortune with Emirates Loto and how it has allowed me to donate to those who need it more than I do.”
Spending a large share of his winnings on the development of his business, Muhand feels inspired: “I am really looking forward to when Emirates Loto returns, as I have big ambitions to win the top prize. Getting a great taste of fortune has also really inspired me to work harder in what I do for a living so that I can make a real difference in changing other people’s lives for the better. This includes both those close to me and those whom I am yet to meet.”
Emirates Loto is set to re-launch soon and continues to work behind the scenes ahead of its first draw. Emirates Loto will also continue to support communities across the UAE and beyond through philanthropic and CSR initiatives that are aligned with its corporate mission and values.
