EWINGS, the managing operator of Emirates Loto has covered the hospital bill of a young resident of Ras Al Khaimah, originally from the Philippines, who was diagnosed with a rare form of breast cancer. WennPropf, the mother of the patient sent a message to Emirates Lotowith the words: “Praying to win to cover my daughter’s eight chemo sessions”. Having lost her job due to the pandemic, Wenn felt desperate to save the life of her daughter and so reached out to the company.
Having undergone a mastectomy in her left breast, Pauline Jazeerah De Luna Alanois now in stage three of the illness with eight final chemo sessions required, and radiation to follow if needed. The sessions will be done at Sheikh Khalifa Specialty Hospital (SKSH) in Ras Al Khaimah and were billed at over AED 56,000 – a sum that has been covered by Emirates Loto with hope for Pauline to get treated and to recover as soon as possible.
Only 27 years old and passionate about reading and cooking, Pauline studied in Emirates Aviation University and had a bright future ahead of her. Pauline is passionate about helping her family and often writes down her thoughts with an aim to inspire and support others. “The support from EWINGS means the world to me because I strive to think positively, to be better, so that when the opportunity arises I can help my family in return for their support. I would love to help fund the education of my little brother”, said Pauline.
“Despite being diagnosed with a very serious illness, the EWINGS team has given me courage to stay hopeful that this battle for my health will not hinder me to live my life. I can’t even begin to express how grateful I am; Emirates Loto is a blessing and the bright side to everything that has happened to me.”
An overwhelming and an incomprehensible feeling for Pauline’s family who have all suffered emotional pain along with their daughter at this time, Wenn said: “Pauline and our whole family were in tears when we received the news about EWINGSsupport to cover the chemo sessions. It was in our prayers and now they have been granted. I can’t express enough how thankful we are that my daughter’s life has been saved.”
