Emirates Loto Covers Medical Bill For Family Hero Filipina Driver
Emirates Loto has covered the hospital bill for a Filipina UAE resident, Gloria Castillo, who suffered from an aneurysm while in her home in Sharjah. A resident of UAE for three decades, Gloria works as a driver for an institute and is on a salary of AED 1,500. Any savings Gloria accumulated over the years of her UAE residency have been spent on her friends and family who have been in need of financial help.
On 2 June Gloria suffered a cerebral aneurysm which resulted in an abnormal widening of the brain, and she had to undergo a left pterional craniotomy surgery. Known by friends and relatives as the go-to support and on a mission in life to be of help to others, Gloria’s nephew appeared on last night’s live results show to tell her story.
“For 30 years my aunt has lived overseas away from home on a mission to help her friends and family, and it seems just so unfair that this tragedy has happened. She has been such a hero for all of our family, I only hope that she will make a rapid recovery” said Vincent Barnes.
While on the show, Vincent was handed a cheque from Emirates Loto to cover his aunt’s medical bill, and he was appreciative and overwhelmed.
Aside from EmiratesLoto’s support of Gloria and her nephew’s appearance on the show last night, sadly the results from the draw saw no jackpot winners or winners of the AED 1 million. 134 people matched four out of six numbers (20, 22, 28, 33, 42 and 45) and have walked away with AED 300 each, and 3041 entrants won a free entry to a future draw.
As there has been no winner for the jackpot to date, the AED 50 million jackpot still stands for the taking for the upcoming draw on Saturday, 27June at 9:00PM.
